Step 1: Turn Off Water Supply
Locate the shut-off valve under the toilet and turn it clockwise. Flush toilet to empty the tank.

Place a bucket or towels under the connection. Use adjustable wrench to disconnect the supply line from the bottom of the tank.

Unscrew the lock nut holding the fill valve in place. Lift out the old valve and clean the tank opening.

Insert new valve through tank opening. Hand-tighten lock nut from underneath, then use wrench for final quarter turn.

Adjust valve height so water level is 1 inch below overflow tube. Reconnect supply line and hand-tighten connection.
