Step 5: Clean the P-Trap

For sink clogs: place bucket under P-trap (U-shaped pipe under sink). Loosen slip nuts by hand or with pliers. Remove trap, empty into bucket. Clean out any debris. Reinstall, hand-tighten nuts plus 1/4 turn with pliers.
